Sustainability is a journey as much as a destination. InterCity Group began its sustainability journey in 1998 and remains committed to this journey today.
This web site is a brief overview of our core operating philosophies, some of our successes and some of the projects we are currently working on. These include actions we have taken around making business more fuel efficient, lowering emission profiles, and many other sustainable initiatives.
InterCity Group includes InterCity Coachlines, InterCity Ferries, Newmans Coach Lines, GreatSights New Zealand, Fullers GreatSights Bay of Islands and awesomenz.com. Together these deliver New Zealand's only national public transport network consisting of 170 coach services and 3 ferry services a day to 600 communities, towns and cities across New Zealand. In addition GreatSights and Fullers GreatSights Bay of Islands operate a wide range of interactive tourism experiences across New Zealand.
